Barret School of Banking
The Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking is a non-profit, independent school created by and governed by a Board of Regents, whose members are executives from banks and other firms involved with the financial services industry. The school was incorporated as the Memphis School of Banking in 1976, later changing its name to Mid South School of Banking in 1979 and finally to the Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking in 2001 after receiving a sizeable grant from its namesake’s charitable trust. The mission of the school is to provide an adult learning experience for the career-oriented individual in commercial banking or a related financial services industry business.
BSB is governed by a Board of Regents, which includes bankers in senior management positions from several states. The school’s faculty is comprised of twenty outstanding businesses, financial and educational leaders who are experts in their chosen fields. BSB is also registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

Triumph Bank started in 2006 when a group of respected local bankers and business leaders wanted to bring hometown banking back to the Memphis area, not just for convenience or friendly service, but to make every decision for the customer here and nowhere else. It was a time when local banks as we knew them were being owned and managed out of town.
We launched with a message that reflected what the Triumph brand stood for then and still does today: with our roots firmly planted in the community, we can grow together. By remaining completely local, we have the power to be more flexible in your favor– whether it’s a loan decision or making ourselves more available. It gives you more control and confidence that when we say you matter, you really matter.
Since the day we opened, more and more people are realizing how rewarding it is to bank with us; not only that, it makes sense. We’ve grown our resources tremendously and thrived even during the most challenging times. We have four locations – our beautiful main office at Poplar and I-240, as well as offices in Germantown, Collierville, and Arlington.
We’re proud to be here for the people and businesses that make up this great community and look forward to being here for years to come.
